Poet, journalist Syeda Rashida Bari honoured with title of ‘Sahitto Sagor’

Dhaka: Poet and journalist Syeda Rashida Bari was given the title of ‘Sahitto Sagor’. Bondhon Cultural Forum, a cultural organization, held a programme at the auditorium of Bangladesh Film Archive at Agargaon in the city marking its 33rd founding anniversary.
On behalf of the Forum, the award was given to Syeda Rashida Bari at the programme on Saturday night. As part of the award, she received a crest and a citation for her contribution to literature.
Khondker Nazmul Haque, First Secretary of National Board of Revenue, attended as the chief guest at the programme, which was chaired by Jubair Al Mahmud, Advisor of the Forum.
Mohammad Jashim Uddin, Director General of Film Archive, attended as the special guest.
Syeda Rashida Bari received the award from the chief guest and others.
A multi-dimensional writer, Syeda Rashida Bari is the author of over 100 books. She is lyricist of Bangladesh Betar, BTV and film.
Besides, she is editor-cum-publisher of Dhaka-based monthly magazine ‘The Swapner Desh’.
