
Platinum Jubilee of Awami League celebrated in Rangamati

n the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami League, Platinum Jubilee was celebrated in Rangamati.
On Sunday (June 23) morning, the organization took out a colorful procession from the city's Zilla Parishad premises to celebrate its platinum jubilee. The procession circumambulates the main roads of the city including Banrupa, Kanthaltali and ends at the municipal premises.
At the beginning of the ceremony, a wreath was placed on the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. After that discussion meeting was held through national and party anthem.
Rangamati district Awami League president and local MP Dipankar Talukder presided over the meeting and organizing secretary Md. Shawal Uddin moderated the meeting, member of parliament for the local women's reserved seat Zoroti Tanchangya, Rangamati district Awami League general secretary Haji Mohammad Mucha Matbar, Vice President Habibur Rahman Habib, Angsui Pru Chowdhury, Brishketu Chakma, Rafiqul Mawla, Municipal Mayor Akbar Hossain Chowdhury and leaders of various allied organizations were present.
At the end of the discussion meeting, senior Awami League leaders and activists were felicitated for their contribution to the organization and the foundation anniversary cake was cut with the leaders and activists.
