
Over 500 people get free eye treatment in Faridpur

A free eye treatment camp was organized jointly by Lions Eye Hospital and Lions Club of Faridpur on Saturday afternoon.
The camp was inaugurated at Lions Eye Hospital located in the Alipur area of the city by Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf, Joint General Secretary of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Nationalist Women's Party. The special guest at the event was young industrialist and social worker Chowdhury Farian Yusuf, a distinguished member of the traditional Mayez Manzil family.
The event was chaired by Lion Engineer ATM Shamsul Alam Monir, Chairman of Lions Eye Hospital Faridpur, and conducted by Lion Mostafizur Rahman Lablu, Director of the hospital. Present at the event were officials of the Lions Club, leaders of the Faridpur district Nationalist Party and its affiliated organizations, and patients who came from various places to receive services.
During the event, the chief guest, Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf, Joint General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Nationalist Women's Party, highlighted the objectives of Tarique Rahman's 31-point agenda and recalled the service-oriented contributions of her father, the late Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf, former Vice President and Minister of BNP. She expressed her commitment to further advancing the service-oriented work of the late Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf.
At the free eye camp, prominent eye specialists from Faridpur provided free treatment and advice to over 500 underprivileged patients, which created a significant positive impact among the local community.
