Over 1200 AL leaders, activists join BNP in Gopalganj

About 1,200 Awami League leaders and activists in Gopalganj Sadar Upazila have joined the BNP. They officially joined BNP politics at a joining ceremony organized in Jangal Bazar area of Nijra Union in Sadar Upazila on Wednesday afternoon.
A large number of leaders and activists joined the BNP under the leadership of Awami League leaders Chanowar Hossain Molla and Nur Islam Sheikh at the event. They presented flowers to Gopalganj-2 MP Dr. K. M. Babar and announced their joining the BNP.
At that time, Sadar Upazila BNP President Shikder Shahidul Islam Lenin, Fazlul Kabir Daria, Municipal BNP President Sheikh Hachibur Rahman, BNP leaders S. M. Ziaul Kabir Biplob, Sajjad Hossain Hira, Jubo Dal leader Rajib Biswas, Chhatra Dal leader Saiful Islam, Imrul Mia and other leaders and activists of various levels of BNP and its affiliated organizations were present. In addition, local people from different classes and professions participated in the program.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Member of Parliament Dr. K. M. Babar said, "BNP is playing an important role in fulfilling the expectations of the people in the current political reality. We welcome experienced and popular people from different political parties as they join BNP."
New BNP leaders Chanowar Hossain Molla and Nur Islam Sheikh said they have decided to join BNP politics with the aim of developing the area, establishing democratic values and realizing the rights of the people. They also expressed their determination to work actively to implement BNP's ideology and programs.
BNP leaders expressed their determination to make the party stronger and more people-oriented by welcoming the new members at the joining ceremony.
