In recognition of their exceptional academic performance in the SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations of 2022 and 2023, a total of 30 outstanding students were awarded in Boalmari, Faridpur.
The award ceremony was held on Tuesday noon in the conference room of the Upazila Parishad.
The event was organized by the Upazila Secondary Education Office. The chief guest was Md. Abduch Sattar Mia, Principal of Boalmari Government College.
Each HSC-level awardee received Tk 30,000, while each SSC-level awardee received Tk 10,000 in prize money. In addition, all recipients were given crests and certificates.
The award ceremony was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tanvir Hasan Chowdhury and conducted by Secondary Education Officer Jalal Uddin. Other speakers included Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Abdullah Al Amin, Khan Mahmud Morshed (Research, Finance and Procurement Officer of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education), Principal Nuruzzaman Mia of Kadirdi College, Advocate Korban Ali (Editor of Boalmari Barta), Head Teacher SM Obaidur Rahman of Aykub Ali High School, Academic Supervisor Mosammat Ayesha Khatun, and student Abida Alam Rinvi, among others.
It was reported that the awards and certificates were provided under the Government of Bangladesh's Performance-Based Grants for Secondary Institutions Scheme (SEDP).
