One more ship delivered equipment for RNPP

One more batch of equipment from Russia for Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) has been delivered to the sea port of Mongla in Bangladesh.
The ship MV Aparajitа has transported about 1,200 tons of industrial equipment and has alreadybeen unloaded. The equipment will arrive at the RooppurNPP construction site within March,2023. Last month over 2,700 thousand tons of Russian equipment for the project was delivered to Bangladesh on two separate vessels.
“Supply of equipment, among other things, ensures readiness of the process systems for flushing of safety systems with the open reactor of Power Unit 1”, said Alexey Deriy, ASE Vice President and Director of Rooppur NPP Construction Project.
Rooppur NPP equipped with two VVER-1200 reactors of a total 2400 MW capacity is being constructed under the Russian design. Each unit will host generation III+ Russian VVER-1200 reactors, which fully complies with all the international safety requirements.
