Two young men, Mosharraf and Mahbub, have been accused of forcibly kidnapping and raping a teenage girl on her way back from work in Madhabadi, Narsingdi, and later blackmailing her by recording a video.

The victim and his family alleged that the incident took place at the house of accused Mahbub in Paulanpur village of Meherpara union at around 10:30 pm on Wednesday.
The accused are Mosharraf Hossain (30), son of the deceased Motaleb Member of Paulanpur village in Meherpara area, and Mahbub, son of Abdul Qadir. Of these, Mahbub has already been arrested, said Madhabdi Police Station OC Md. Kamal Hossain.

The victim told the police that on Wednesday night, while returning home after working at a garment factory, two young men named Mosharraf and Mahbub from Poulanpur village in Meherpara union forcibly took her to Mahbub's house in Poulanpur and sexually assaulted her there.

Later, the victim was threatened by recording a video of the incident. If anyone tells anyone about it, the video will be shared on social media. In addition, the youths extorted 2,000 taka from the victim's family by threatening them.

The victim's family said that after the incident, Mosharraf and Mahbub demanded money by threatening to spread the video. Later, they were forced to pay 2,000 taka to rescue the girl and reported the matter to Madhabadi police station that night.

Madhabdi Police Station OC Md. Kamal Hossain said that after receiving the complaint, the police verified the truth of the incident and conducted a raid in the morning and arrested one of the accused, named Mahbub.
