Human chains, protest rallies and demonstration processions were held simultaneously in Pakshi and Rajshahi in strong protest of the beating and injury of Western Railway CCM Ahsan Ullah Bhuiyan and his family by terrorists posing as ticketless passengers in Rajshahi station premises.

This program was held separately in Pakshi divisional office premises and Rajshahi railway station premises on Monday morning demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits and exemplary punishment. They demanded prompt legal punishment of the miscreants and ensuring overall safety of all railway workers engaged in uninterrupted passenger service.

A human chain, protest rally and demonstration procession were organized at the initiative of Bangladesh Railway Pakshi Divisional Workers' and Employees' Party. The program was presided over by General Secretary Khandaker Sohel, President of Pakshi Branch and Welfare Trust Leader Sohel Rana. Bangladesh Sramik Karmachari Dal Central President Rafiqul Islam spoke as the chief guest and Central Vice President Ahsan Habib spoke as the special guest. After the protest rally, a huge protest procession was taken out at the Pakshi Divisional Office premises.

A similar program was also held at the Rajshahi Railway Station premises with similar demands. The protest procession and protest rally were held under the leadership of Saiful Islam, the central organizing secretary of Bangladesh Sramik Karmachari Dal, with the participation of leaders from all walks of life. The speakers in the assembly strongly criticized the attackers on CCM Ahsan Ullah Bhuiyan and demanded that all the accused be immediately arrested and brought to justice.

It is worth noting that on Friday, August 7, CCM Ahsan Ullah Bhuiyan and his family arrived in Rajshahi by Silk City train from Dhaka. At that time, ticketless passengers organized themselves and beat him and his family and injured them.
