NRB Islamic Life Insurance holds 5th AGM
Life insurance operator NRB Islamic Life Insurance PLC held its 5th Annual General Meeting (AGM), approving its annual report for 2025 alongside the re-election of directors and the appointment of new auditors for 2026.
The meeting was held at the board room of the company’s head office in the capital on Saturday with NRB Islamic Life Insurance Chairman Kibria Golam Mohammad in the chair, according to a press release issued by the company.
Shareholders including M. Mahfuzur Rahman, Aftab Ahmed, Faria Mostafiz Orpisha (representing Wazirpur Fish Park Limited), Arif Sikder (representing Ambala IT), Md. Jamal Uddin (representing Liberty Living Limited), and Md. Nurul Azim Rifat attended the AGM both in person and virtually.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Md. Shah Jamal Howlader, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Mohammad Abu Hasan, and Company Secretary and Head of HR Md. Salahuddin were also in attendance, with the latter conducting the proceedings.
During the meeting, shareholders unanimously adopted the 2025 annual report. In accordance with corporate regulations, one-third of the board directors retired and were re-elected, while a proposal to appoint new auditors for the fiscal year 2026 was formally passed.
Presenting the company’s strategic roadmap, CEO Md. Shah Jamal Howlader outlined future expansion plans. Shareholders expressed satisfaction over the insurer's business growth and operational stability before concluding the session with prayers for the company's ongoing prosperity.
