None must talk about elections, before Hasina is hanged: Sarjis

Sarjis Alam, National Citizen Party’s chief organiser for northern region, on Tuesday morning said none should mention general elections, even by mistake, before people can see ousted dictator Sheikh Hasina hanged for her appalling crimes.
He made the fiery remark after offering prayers at the grave of a July uprising martyr at Rayerbazar graveyard in the capital.
Hasina dumped dead bodies of her dissenters in many places, locations of which are still unknown. The mothers of the martyrs are searching desperately for the corpses of their dear children. In this backdrop, how can anyone think of anything other than trials for the fascists?, he asked.
On the occasion, NCP Convener Nahid Islam demanded speedy trials for the state-backed crimes committed during last year’s July-August uprising. The trials can at least to some extent console the martyrs’ families and the injured uprising participants, Nahid said.
