Noakhali -2 seat : Toma Group Chairman Ataur Rahman Manik 8th class pass

Chairman of Bangladesh Party and Tama Group, Moha: Ataur Rahman Bhuiya alias Manik, an independent candidate from Noakhali-2 (Senbagh-Sonaimuri partial) seat in the upcoming 12th National Parliament election could not cross the secondary level. In the place of educational qualification in the affidavit, he has written the highest educational qualification is VIII class pass.

This was revealed from the affidavit filled by the candidate and submitted through the notary public in the office of Noakhali District Commissioner and District Returning Officer Dewan Mahbubur Rahman.

On the other hand, Awami League's nominated candidate for the same seat, current Member of Parliament Morshed Alam, has written HSC pass as the highest educational qualification in the place of educational qualification in the affidavit.

According to sources in the office of the senior district election officer, 13 candidates filed nomination papers in Noakhali-2 (Senbagh-Sonaimuri partial) seat. Noakhali District Commissioner and District Returning Officer Dewan Mahbubur Rahman declared the nomination papers of 8 candidates as valid after scrutiny on December 3.

The nomination papers of five candidates were declared invalid for logical reasons. The final list of candidates for the six parliamentary constituencies of Noakhali will be published on December 18. Candidates will receive their symbols on the same day and campaign from that day.

When asked about this, Moha: Ataur Rahman Bhuiya alias Manik said that the educational qualification is given in the affidavit.
