No war is holy, only peace is holy : Message on behalf of Pope Francis on Eid-ul-Fitr

Cardinal Patrick de Rosario, representative of Pope Francis in Bangladesh has sent a message of peace on behalf of Pope Francis and the Muslims of Bangladesh on the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. I have been united with you in thought, meditation and prayer throughout the month. So today I feel the joy of Eid with you.
In that spirit, I wish you and your family much happiness and joy, peace and harmony.
Together with Pope Francis, we say: "No war is holy, only peace." "Christians and Muslims witness to hope". A burning candle flame symbolizes light and hope-dispelling darkness. But violence and the fires of war destroy everything. So let us extinguish the flames of violence and war and light a candle of peace.
Finally, may the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr bring a bountiful harvest of peace, hope and joy in your life. Eid Mubarak!
