Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Prannoy Verma said that there was no discussion on the issue of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is staying in India.

Pranay Verma told this to reporters after a courtesy meeting with Foreign Secretary Jasim Uddin on Sunday.

Prannoy Verma was asked whether the Sheikh Hasina issue was discussed in the meeting. In response, he said, there was no specific discussion on this matter. How to take the relationship with the interim government further. We basically discussed how we can take things forward.

Recently, the International Criminal Tribunal has issued an arrest warrant against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina has been ordered to be arrested and produced before the tribunal by November 18.

In a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Foreign Adviser Tauhid Hossain said on Thursaday last about the return of Sheikh Hasina. Tauhid Hossain said that the interim government will take necessary measures to bring former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina back to the country.

Regarding the joint consultative meeting between Bangladesh and India, the High Commissioner said, we want to do FOC soon.
