Nine arrested in sensational murder of father of three disabled in Singair

District Detective Police arrested nine people including the main accused in the public hacking case of Abdul Quddus (52), the father of three disabled children, who was discussed and sensationalized at Singair in Manikganj.
The arrested are the main accused Kalam (45) son of Hazrat Ali of Atipara area of Singair upazila, Gafur (41) of UP member, Milan (32) son of Hakim Ali, Zubair (22) son of Kalam, Mokhles (38) son of Samsul Haque of Sirajpur area, Omed. Ali's son Abul Hossain (48), Abul Hossain's son Awal (23). Earlier on February 20, Manjurul Haque Manju (38) and the suspect Bakhtiar Hossain (51) were arrested and handed over to the learned court.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sujan Sarkar highlighted the arrest in a press conference held at the office of the District Superintendent of Police on Wednesday (February 28).
He said, raids were conducted in Sabuj Bagh and Hazari Bagh Police Station areas of Dhaka and the accused were arrested.
It is to be noted that on the morning of February 3, Abdul Quddus (52) was injured in two clashes due to the dominance of the two groups in the market and previous land disputes and died in the hospital while undergoing treatment. Several people were seriously injured in the incident.
The family and relatives of the deceased claimed that the murder happened because of the opposing sides of the two candidates in the 12th National Assembly elections.
The deceased Quddus is the son of the deceased Minaj Uddin of village Atipara of Chandahar Union of Singair Upazila of Manikganj.
