New Pirojpur SP seeks journalists' support to build drug-free district

Newly appointed Superintendent of Police (SP) of Pirojpur, Muhammad Talebur Rahman (PPM-Seba), held an introductory exchange-of-views meeting with local print and electronic media journalists, seeking public and media cooperation to maintain law and order and eliminate illegal drugs from the district.
The meeting took place at the conference room of the District Superintendent of Police office on Sunday morning.
Addressing the media representatives, SP Muhammad Talebur Rahman stated that the police serve as friends of the people and affirmed that the district police force will act with utmost professionalism to curb crime. He asserted that strict enforcement measures will be taken against criminals, including illegal arms holders, terrorists, extortionists, and drug dealers.
The Superintendent of Police highlighted that institutional initiatives such as bit policing, community policing, and "Open House Day" programs will be further strengthened to reinforce trust and collaboration between law enforcement officers and the public. He also discussed security arrangements and overall law and order preparations ahead of the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja festival.
The exchange was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police Nasrin Jahan, Pirojpur Sadar Police Station OC Shariful Islam, senior journalist Mahmud Hossain, former Press Club President senior journalist Muniruzzaman Nasim Ali, Press Club President S. M. Rezaul Islam Shamim, and Joint General Secretary Ziaul Haq, alongside journalists from various print and broadcast media outlets.
