Awami League has chosen a new face as a candidate for three out of the six constituencies in Sirajganj in the upcoming 12th National Parliament elections.

The leaders who got the nomination are expressed their excitement. At the same time the followers of the leaders are cheering.

On Sunday afternoon, the party's General Secretary Obaidul Quader announced the names of the nominees of the Awami League at the central office of Bangabandhu Avenue.

Three people from Sirajganj have been eliminated.Member of parliament of Sirajganj-2 constituencies among those left out.Habibe Millat is also there.He is the son-in-law of Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain, former Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister and Awami League Advisory Council member.District Awami League's joint general secretary got a seat in Millat.Jannat Ara Talukdar Henry.

Member of Parliament for Sirajganj-4 (Ullapara-Salanga) Constituency Tanveer Imam.After his father HT Imam (Hossain Tawfiq Imam) formed the Awami League government in 2009, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina appointed him as an adviser on public administration with the status of a cabinet minister.He was an advisor to the Prime Minister from 2009.He was a member of Awami League's advisory council and co-chairman of the election management committee.2021 (March 4) HT Imam (Hossain Taufiq Imam) passed away at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Dhaka.

Freedom fighter Shafiqul Islam Shafi in the seat of Imam of Tanveer.He resigned as Chairman of Ullapara Upazila Parishad for Awami League nomination.Currently there is a vice-president of Upazila Awami League.Before this, he was a member of parliament nominated by Awami League in the 2008 Ninth National Parliament Election.

Member of Parliament of Sirajganj-6 (Shahzadpur) Constituency.Hasibur Rahman was Swapan.He died in 2021(September 2). Later the seat was declared vacant by the Parliament Secretariat.

Later, Marina Jahan Kavita was nominated by Awami League in the by-election.He is the executive member of the Central Committee of Awami League.Awami League has nominated her brother Chayan Islam instead of Professor Marina Jahan Kavita.
