
New Bengali Year celebrated in Bagura

The Bengali New Year 1432 was welcomed with various festive programmes organized by the district administration, beginning with a colourful rally in Barguna on Monday. The celebrations began at 7 a.m. with a series of cultural events and greetings, inaugurated by Superintendent of Police Md. Ibrahim Khalil and Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shafiul Alam.At Shimul Tala in Barguna, the district administration, along with officials and employees from all government offices, students from schools and colleges, and general citizens, participated in a vibrant morning rally. The event conveyed wishes for happiness, peace, and prosperity in the lives of Bengali-speaking people and their families and neighbors.Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shafiul Alam extended heartfelt New Year greetings and congratulations to everyone present. To mark the occasion, the Barguna New Year Celebration Committee has organized a three-day fair.
