The green and lush environment here captivated the poet in a great way. The poet composed many poems, songs and rhymes here. But that Daulatpur is still neglected and neglected. No institution has been established in the name of the poet here at the state level.

The program will be presided over by Upazila Executive Officer Md. Abdur Rahman, with Deputy Commissioner Md. Amirul Kaisa as the chief guest and Police Superintendent Nazir Ahmed Khan as the special guest. Kabitirtha Daulatpur village is 8 km ahead on the Companiganj-Nabinagar road in Cumilla . As soon as you enter this village, you will see 'Nazrul Toran' on your right. Kabir Pankimala is written in white ink on black blocks made of brick-cement on both sides of the toran. Half a kilometer further along that path, you will come to Khan's house. The house around which the devotees became Nazrulmoy.
That house and the village have long been known as the village of Nazrul-Nargis. Here is the beautifully crafted two-story house of Ali Akbar Khan. Poet Nazrul used to live in this house. The plaster of the house has fallen off. No renovation has been done for a long time. Behind this building is a bamboo grove. Until 1962, the poet's house was a hut. Later, it was a hut, but the size and layout were not changed. The wooden chest used by Nargis was in that room. Due to carelessness and neglect, the chest is no longer there. No one can say where it is. At one time, there was also a bed in that room. Now it is kept in a semi-paca room next door.
Nazrul researcher Professor Shyama Prasad Bhattacharya said that along with the demand to establish a university in the name of poet Nazrul in Daulatpur, it is necessary to turn the beautifully crafted two-story house of Ali Akbar Khan into a museum and preserve the wooden chest and bed used by the poet's wife Nargis. We want to get Kabitertha Daulatpur recognized as a prestigious place by the state.
Muradnagar Upazila Press Club President Habibur Rahman expressed regret and said, "A lot has happened in the name of the poet in Darirampur village of Trishal Upazila of Mymensingh district. But nothing has happened in Kabitertha Daulatpur. The poet stayed here for two months and 11 days. He also got married in his youth. He wrote many poems and songs. It is necessary to establish a large-scale establishment and cultural center in the name of the poet in Kabitertha Daulatpur."
Bablu Ali Khan, a descendant of the poet's wife Nargis, said that the poet used to sit on a cool patio under the mango tree at the pond ghat of this house and write songs and poems in the afternoon. Khan used to teach the boys and girls of the house to dance, sing and play musical instruments. He used to swim in the pond water.
He used to fish in the pond with nets and poles as a hobby. To preserve the memory of the poet, a 'Nazrul Mancha' has been built in the poet's shrine, Daulatpur. Every year, the upazila administration celebrates the poet's birthday in a simple manner.
