National Youth Day observed in Habiganj : Govt working to transform youth into skilled workforce: Whip G K Gous

National Youth Day 2026 was celebrated across Habiganj district on Sunday through colorful events, including a discussion meeting, rally, ceremonial balloon release, and the distribution of youth microcredit loan checks and training completion certificates.
The district administration organized a discussion meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s office auditorium, presided over by Habiganj Deputy Commissioner Dr. G. M. Sarfaraz.
Whip of the National Parliament Alhaj G. K. Gous, MP, attended the event as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Whip G. K. Gous stated that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has undertaken various strategic initiatives to transform the country's youth into a skilled workforce. He noted that the Department of Youth Development is actively executing these plans nationwide by providing practical, hands-on vocational training.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Ratnadeep Biswas and Deputy Director of the Department of Youth Development Md. Amir Ali spoke as special guests. Member of the Habiganj District Youth Development Committee Oliur Rahman was also present alongside administrative officials and local representatives.
Following the discussion, the guests officially distributed loan checks and skill acquisition certificates to local youth entrepreneurs and trainees to assist them in achieving self-reliance.
