National Road Safety Day celebrated in Gopalganj

National Road Safety Day 2025 was celebrated in Gopalganj with the theme "Quality helmets and safe speed, will reduce loss of life and property." On this occasion, a colorful rally and discussion meeting were organized on Wednesday morning by the joint initiative of the district administration, BRTA and RHD.
In the morning, a colorful rally was taken out in the city under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Kamruzzaman. At the end of the rally, the Deputy Commissioner identified some motorcycle riders without helmets and provided quality helmets to five of them. At the time, he urged everyone to be aware of safe road use.
After the rally, a discussion meeting was held at the "Swachhta" conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office. The chief guest of the meeting was Muhammad Kamruzzaman, Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate , Gopalganj. The special guest was Md. Mizanur Rahman, Superintendent of Police, Gopalganj. The meeting was presided over by Fariha Tanjin, Additional District Magistrate, Gopalganj.
Gopalganj BRTA Motor Vehicle Inspector Ziauddin delivered the welcome speech. The program was attended by Sub-Divisional Engineers Soj, Anuj Kumar Dey, Md. Jamil Hossain, Manager, Tungipara Training Institute Md. Jamil Hossain, General Secretary, District Truck-Covered Van and Tanker Workers Union Mitu Kazi; Md. President, District Bus-Minibus Owners Association Md. Sawkat Hossain; and Sadar UNO M. Rakibul Hasan.
The program was organized by the District Administration, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and RHD. Gopalganj.
