On the occasion of Amar Ekushey February and International Mother Language Day, the National Press Club organized a poetry reading and a pleasant cultural program on the club premises on Thursday.

National Press Club President Hasan Hafiz presided over the program. Former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Anwarullah Chowdhury was the chief guest at the program.

The program was conducted by Kazi Rawnak Hossain, Member of the National Press Club's management committee and Convener of the cultural sub-committee, and Shamima Chowdhury was the moderator.

The club's member poets participated in the poetry reading. At this time, poems were recited by club president Hasan Hafiz, senior members Atahar Khan, Kazim Reza, Kamruzzaman, Mahbuba Chowdhury, Tarif Rahman, Anis Alamgir, Md. Bulbul Lalit Kala Academy-BAFA, Sargam Cultural Group, Udbhas Nrityakala Academy and Shaheed Cultural Group participated in the cultural event.
