National Parliament polls : Over 21.59 lakh, 6 Hijra voters in 5 constituencies in Chandpur

The number of voters in 5 constituencies of Chandpur district is 21 lakh 59 thousand 6 hundred and 97 people.

According to the list of voters in the entire district on November 2, 2023, the number of voters has been announced by District Election Commissioner Md. Tofail Ahmed said. The total number of centers in the district is 678 and the number of rooms is 3 thousand 481.

According to Chandpur district election office sources, the number of voters in the district including new voters is 21 lakh 59 thousand 697 voters. Among them, the number of male voters is 11 lakh 14 thousand 754 and the number of female voters is 10 lakh 44 thousand 9 hundred and 37. Hijra voters - 6 people. According to mathematical calculations, 69 thousand 817 male voters are more than female voters.

According to the information received, the total number of voters in Chandpur-1– (Kachua) 260 constituencies – 3 lakh 25 thousand 622 people. Among them, the number of male voters is 1 lakh 69 thousand 2 hundred 64 and female voters are 1 lakh 56 thousand 3 hundred and 57 people. Hijra voters - 1 person.

Chandpur-2 (Matlab-North-South), total number of voters in 261 constituencies – 4 lakh 67 thousand 25 people. Among them, the number of male voters is 2 lakh 38 thousand 5 hundred and 23 and female voters are 2 lakh 28 thousand 5 hundred. Hijra voters - 2 people.

Chandpur-3 (Chandpur Sadar-Haimchar), total number of voters in 262 constituencies – 5 lakh 12 thousand 328 people. Among them, the number of male voters is 2 lakh 66 thousand 258 and female voters are 2 lakh 56 thousand 68. Hijra voters - 2 people.

Chandpur – 4, (Faridganj) Total number of voters in 263 constituencies – 3 lakh 69 thousand 128 people. Among them, the number of male voters is 1 lakh 92 thousand 760 and female voters are 1 lakh 76 thousand 368. There are no hijra voters.

Chandpur – 5, (Hajiganj- Shahrasti) Total number of voters in 264 constituencies – 4 lakh 85 thousand 594 people. Among them, the number of male voters is 2 lakh 47 thousand 949 and female voters are 2 lakh 37 thousand 644. Hijra voters - 1 person.

All upazilas have 49 colleges, 283 schools, 260 madrasas and 1,157 government primary schools. The working principals, professors, lecturers, head teachers and assistant teachers of all these educational institutions are supposed to be responsible for the polling work of the upcoming 12th national parliament election. It has been informed that the appointment letter will be sent to each educational institution on time. 1 day training will also be provided by Election Commission of Bangladesh after receiving the appointment letter.

Meanwhile, the election schedule has already been announced by the Bangladesh Election Commission. According to him, the 12th National Parliament election will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2024. Polling will be held continuously from 8 am to 4 pm. Last date for submission of nomination papers by candidates is 30 November 2023. Nomination papers will be saved from 1st December to 4th December 2023. Last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is 17 December 2023. Allotment of Symbols – 18 December 2023.
