Mustafiz ruled out of BPL qualifier for head injury

Cumilla Victorians fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has been ruled out of qualifier match of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) due to a head injury. Debashish Chowdhury, chief physician of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), confirmed the matter.
The pacer was hit by a ball during a practice session in Chattogram last week. He got a blow on his head that required five stitches. However, he did not suffer any internal bleeding. Mustafizur was immediately rushed to Imperial Hospital in Chittagong in critical condition.
Debashish said the stitches have not been removed yet, and the medical team plans to delay the removal for at least a day or two days to avoid any complications. Cumilla Victorians will face the Rangpur Riders in the first qualifier on Monday.
