Mushfiqur Rahman joins as Chairperson of SME Foundation

Md. Mushfiqur Rahman has joined as the new Chairperson of the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Foundation.
The Ministry of Industries announced his appointment to the position in a notification on December 22. Then, on Sunday (January 19), he officially joined the office of the SME Foundation for the next 2 years. as the eighth Chairperson.
The notification of the Ministry of Industries said that Md. Mushfiqur Rahman has been nominated as the Chairperson of the SME Foundation for a period of two years from the date of joining on the condition of renouncing any other profession, business or employment relationship with any government, semi-government, private institution, or organization.
The SME Foundation said that Mushfiqur Rahman has nearly three decades of experience in the banking sector. During his career, held important positions at Citizens, HSBC, and Citibank in the United States and HSBC, Standard Chartered, Shahjalal Islami, and Bank Alfalah in the country.
Md. Mushfiqur Rahman graduated from Dhaka University in 1992 and obtained an MBA degree from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in 1995, according to a press release.
