Husband Rubel is accused of killing and hanging Khadija, a housewife of Gabsara Union of Tangail's Bhuyapur Upazila, after beating her.

Later, Gabsara Union Parishad Chairman Shah Alam Akand Shapla called the murder incident as suicide and fined cash. It has created a sensation in the area!

The slain housewife is Khadija (19), daughter of Mina Bepari of Nikla Para village of Gabsara union, and the accused husband is Rubel (20), son of Kuddus of Megharpatal village of the same union. It is known from the family of the deceased housewife that Khadija and Rubel got married 7 years ago. They have 1 daughter aged 4 years. Since marriage, husband Rubel used to beat Khadija several times. Their families have done domestic arbitration several times.

Later on Saturday morning on June 15, a neighbor of her husband's house informed that housewife Khadija had committed suicide. Later, Khadija's father Mina Bepari went to her husband Rubel's house with his relatives. Seeing the marks of beating on the girl's body and talking to the neighbor, it was confirmed that it was not suicide but that the husband Rubel had killed her and hanged her. Later, husband Rubel and his family fled leaving the hanging body.

On the evening of the incident, Gabsara Union Parishad Chairman Shah Alam Akand Shapla Police Station dropped the accusation of murder of the housewife and ruled it as suicide and resolved it through domestic arbitration. As a compensation from the husband Rubel, the daughter's father was given only 40,000 rupees worth of six ani gold. Locals have expressed dissatisfaction with the incident.

Meena Bepari, the housewife's father, said, "My daughter was killed after being beaten up." Chairman Shapla begged me to settle the compensation money. Also said my daughter is crazy so she committed suicide. I want severe justice from the administration along with Rubel's family.

Chairman Shah Alam Akand Shapla said that the girl was crazy and had a problem in her head so she committed suicide. Both parties have settled through domestic arbitration. The girl's father received a compensation of 40 thousand rupees.

Bhuapur police station officer in-charge Ahsan Ullah said, I have heard the incident Necessary legal action will be taken if the girl's family complains.
