Municipality's new initiative to build clean, modern Jhalakathi

Various public welfare activities of Jhalakathi Municipality were inaugurated and materials were distributed on Tuesday with the aim of building a modern, clean and people-friendly Jhalakathi.
Jhalakathi was present as the chief guest at the event.

Jhalakathi Municipality Administrator and Deputy Director of Local Government Julia Sukayna presided over the function. Jhalakathi District Primary Education Officer Md. Shahinul Islam Majumdar and many others were present as special guests.
Officials and employees of Jhalakathi Municipality were present at the event.
All citizen certificates provided by Jhalokati Municipality are issued 100% online. First aid boxes are distributed to 33 educational institutions under the municipality's area. Each box contains essential items including Savlon, Savlon cream, digital thermometer, cotton, gauze, Napa tablets, and a box of food saline.
To ensure a safe working environment for the sanitation workers working in Jhalakathi Municipality, dresses, rubber boots, and hand gloves were distributed among the sanitation workers.
A one-time gratuity of Tk. 1,188,2225/- was paid to 11 people for the outstanding lump sum grants and gratuities of previously retired and deceased officials and employees of the municipality.
Julia Sukaina, Administrator of Jhalakathi Municipality and Deputy Director of Local Government, said that the municipality is committed to building a clean, modern and people-friendly Jhalakathi by simplifying citizen services, strengthening cleanliness activities and ensuring public welfare.
