MP Selim Reza attends Kazipur law, order committee meeting

The monthly meeting of the Kazipur Upazila Parishad Law and Order Committee was held at the upazila parishad conference room on Tuesday afternoon.
Sirajganj-1 (Kazipur) Member of Parliament Selim Reza attended the meeting as the chief guest and principal advisor to the committee. The session was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mostafizur Rahman.
Discussions at the meeting focused extensively on the upazila's overall law and order situation, the prevention of drug abuse and gambling, efforts to curb theft and mugging, the recovery of lost mobile phones, the prevention of violence against women and children, traffic management, and security arrangements for upcoming national occasions.
Kazipur Police Station Officer-in-Charge SM Mostafizur Rahman, who serves as the committee's member secretary, addressed the meeting. Other speakers were Upazila Agriculture Officer Shariful Islam, former Upazila BNP Secretary and former Pourashava Mayor Abdul Salam, former Upazila BNP General Secretary and Senior Vice President Advocate Rabiul Hasan, Afzal Hossain Memorial Degree College Assistant Professor Wahiduzzaman Minu, Sirajganj Rural Electricity Samity-2 Kazipur DGM Maidul Islam, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Didarul Ahsan, and Upazila Social Services Officer Abdul Hannan Sarker.
The meeting was also attended by Kazipur Government Mansur Ali College Principal Prof Rezaul Karim Ranga, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Naima Jahan Sumaiya, Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Md. Russel, and other officials from various government departments.
Speakers emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts between the police administration and union parishads to guarantee the security of public life and property.
