Member of Parliament of Comilla-4 Devidwar Constituency and Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Abul Kalam Azad's speech in the parliament is being praised on social media Facebook.

On Thursday (June 27) he gave that five-minute speech during the 2024-25 Finance Budget discussion in the National Parliament. In his speech, he presented the long-standing demands of the common people of Devidwar in the Parliament.

In his speech, Abul Kalam Azad said that there is still no fire service station in Debidwar upazila. Urgently requesting to set up a fire service station I strongly demand for the construction of a technical school and college in Devidwar with the aim of improving the quality of technical education and creating skilled manpower.

Moreover, he demanded to upgrade the upazila health complex from 50 beds to 100 beds hospital with necessary manpower and to set up a Sheikh Russell mini stadium in Devidwar upazila.

At this time, the MP expressed concern about students getting addicted to mobile phone based games and said the main reason for this is the lack of sports infrastructure. Therefore, he requested to allocate money to arrange one playground and gymnasium in each union.

In his speech, he also said that the service facility should be provided through a special counter at the airport for the remittance workers. In this year's budget, the allocation for education has been reduced. With which it is not possible to contribute to the creation of qualified human resources.

The activists and voters are commenting that MP Abul Kalam Azad has taken another step closer to the common people of his constituency by presenting these long-standing problems of Devidwar in the great national parliament.
