Motorcycle driver killed being crushed under minibus at Banani
A motorcycle driver has been killed being crushed under a minibus at Banani in the capital.
The motorcyclist was identified as Akkas Ali, 60.
He was killed when a minibus, belongiong 'Binimoy Paribahan' rammed his motorbike at Road No. 27, Banani in the capital at about 11:30am on Saturday (June 15).
Immediately after the accident, the minibus was seized and the driver was detained.
Banani Police Station's officer-in-charge (OC) Kazi Shahan Huq said Akkas Ali was heading towards Uttara with his motorbike. When he reached at Road No. 27 in Banani, a 'Binimoy Paribahan' minibus from Dhaka to Jamalpur rammed him right on the road, leaving him dead. Apart from seizing the bus, the driver was arrested. The body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy following legal processes, he said.
