Model Academy, an educational institution at Mirpur area in the Dhaka city has has achieved tremendous achievement and now this school has turned into an ideal and reputed institution due to continuous efforts of Headmaster  Shubashish Kumar Biswas. 

He ( headmaster) was selected as the best school head in Bangladesh in the national level competition of National Education Week-2023 held at Government Laboratory High School on June 6, 2023.

He was born in a noble Biswas family of North Kachua village of Shailkupa upazila of Jhenaidah district. 

After passing the  SSC from Benipur High School in 1983 and HSC with merit from Rajbari Government College in 1985, he got admission in Dhaka University in 1985-86 session and got Honors and Masters degree in Applied Mathematics from Mathematics Department.

 In addition to earning his BEd and MEd degrees, he received professional training on  capacity building from Kassart University, Thailand and the College of Wellington, New Zealand. His wife Shipra Majumder is also engaged in teaching profession. His only son Soumav Biswas is currently working in Siemens Bangladesh after receiving his bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). His  only daughter Shreya Biswas is studying Computer Science and Engineering at Brack University.

He joined Model Academy as Assistant Teacher in 1996.

Since 2014, he has been serving as the head teacher. Since assuming the responsibility of the headmaster, he has introduced all kinds of co-curricular programs to develop students in quality education by implementing new curriculum along with infrastructure development of the school.

 The school has three six- storied buildings, auditorium, multimedia class room, 3 computer labs, library, clean wash room, drinking water system through rain water purification, fire protection system, lift, substation, spacious playground with basketball, badminton court, volleyball court. . To inspire the new generation in the Liberation War, "Hridye Bangabandhu and Liberation War Corner" has been installed in the school and the walls of the school are adorned with murals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and murals of language movement.

 The school has Moral Education Club, Debate Club, Sahitya Sangsad, Pathakchakra Club, Music Club, Art Club, Maths Club, Chess Club, English Club, Science to develop the smart citizens of the developed world by 2041 by awakening the sense of patriotism among the students. Various steps including clubs. The school has a 3500 square feet rooftop garden which was praised by Shaikh Siraj in Channel I's "Heart of Soil and Man" programme. In 2020, because of the strong role of Shubashish Biswas during the Corona period, North Tolarbagh, the first corona affected area of Bangladesh, became a role model for corona prevention and lockdown. 

During the corona period, the study of 1st to 10th class students through Ghum apps, as well as communication with parents and taking exams through Google apps, the medical assistance of parents and students affected by corona and standing by the victims were appreciated in various mass media at that time.

It should be noted that the school has been recognized as the best educational institution in Mirpur Shiksha Thana 5 times in a row. Subhashish Kumar Biswas, head teacher at the metropolitan level in the National Education Week in 2018, was awarded the title of Best Institution Head.

In 2023,  Model Academy won the second position in Rabindra Sangeet, the school student with the best head teacher at the national level.
