Mirza Fakhrul becomes honorary life member of British charity

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has become an honorary life member of a London based charity organization named 'British Bangla Welfare Trust'.
Mirza Fakhrul, who is currently in London, was granted the lifetime membership by the trust when he visited the office of the charity organization Saturday, said a press release received here today.
At that time, British Bangla Welfare Trust adviser ASM Masum informed the BNP Secretary General about the activities of the organization in Bangladesh, Britain and Africa.
Charity's chairman Khasruzzaman Khasru, chief adviser Kamal Ahmed, advisers and volunteers were present.
Mirza Fakhrul thanked the charity authorities for the membership saying, "I am really proud to be a part of this charity. This charity is working for global humanity. It is a matter of pride for us.”
He also hoped the organization will continue its humanitarian services in Bangladesh.
Trust's chief adviser informed Mirza Fakhrul that the trust has been working among various communities in Britain, Africa and Bangladesh since 2012.
With the fund from the local government of Britain, the trust is currently implementing several projects for skill development and gardening for health awareness.
Trust Chairman said, apart from working in Bangladesh and Africa, the trust is doing a lot of work in local community in Britain.
Mirza Fakhrul as an honorary life member of the charity will further accelerate the activities, he hoped.
British Bangla Welfare Trust has already received five written commendations from the British King's Office for its positive contribution to the British community, trust chairman said.
