Military Collegiate School starts to build skilled, patriotic human resources in Faridpur

Adding a major milestone to the educational and socio-economic landscape of the district, Military Collegiate School Faridpur (MCSF) has officially commenced its administrative and educational operations under the management of the Bangladesh Army.
Principal Lieutenant Colonel Akhtar Us Samad Rafi briefed journalists regarding the institution’s roadmap, curriculum, and admission framework during a press conference held at the school auditorium on Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier on August 23, Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman formally inaugurated the institution by unveiling its foundation plaque. Spanning over 18 acres in the Raghunandanpur area of Faridpur city, the collegiate school operates under the supervision of the 55th Infantry Division stationed at Jashore Cantonment.
Reading out a written statement, Lieutenant Colonel Akhtar Us Samad Rafi disclosed that following an online admission drive launched on April 24, 2026, academic classes for the seventh and eighth grades officially commenced on August 12. He stated that alongside safeguarding national sovereignty, peace, and security, the institution is dedicated to developing skilled, educated, and patriotic human resources to serve the nation.
The Principal highlighted that the establishment of the military-run institute will foster local employment opportunities, expand transport and educational material supply chains, and boost service sector development, playing a vital role in the socio-economic advancement of Faridpur.
MCSF Adjutant Captain Sheikh Nahid Hasan Prattyay, faculty members, and local print and electronic media journalists were present at the press conference.
