Memo to UN Secretary General : Intervention in protection of human rights in Bangladesh sought

A 9-point memorandum was delivered to Secretary-General Antonio Guterres from the November 6 citizens' rally before the United Nations.
Stop mob justice in Bangladesh, stop mass arrests in false cases, stop mock genocide case against Sheikh Hasina in 'kangaroo' court and trial in ICT of murderers of 1971 genocide, women rapists and criminals against humanity, journalists, writers, cultural workers, actors and actresses, civil society, Awami League and minorities.
The memorandum sought UN intervention to stop the ongoing repression against the community.
One of the advisers of the United States Awami League and the former GS of Baksu Pradeep Kar presided over the civic gathering.
It was moderated by United States Awami League Organizing Secretary Abul Haseeb Mamun.
After Shaheen Ajmal's opening speech, President of America-Bangladesh Alliance MA Salam, President of Sheikh Hasina Manch Jalaluddin Jalil, President of Congress of Bangladeshi Americans Mohammad Ali Siddiqui, Journalist Hakikul Islam Khokon, Community leader Abdur Rahim Badsha, mainstream politician Sakhawat Ali, MA Karim Jahangir, Advocate Shah Bakhtiar, Rumana Akhtar, Akhtar Hossain, Ramesh Nath, Ajit Bhowmik, heroic freedom fighter Shaukat Akbar Ritchie, Farooq Hossain and Milan Sarkar also spoke.
At this time, the newly elected Donald Trump was congratulated and thanked by the diaspora for condemning and expressing outrage at the repression of religious minorities in Bangladesh.
