Memo submitted demanding construction of station building, platform in Rajarhat

The Railway-Naval Communication and Environmental Development People's Committee, Rajarhat has submitted a memorandum demanding construction of a new railway station building and platform in Rajarhat.
This memorandum was submitted through the UNO on Monday morning.
It is learnt that the activities of Rajarhat station are being carried out in a dilapidated building built during the Pakistan period. In addition, the deteriorated platform becomes waterlogged in light rain and becomes unusable. Passengers have to board the train by breaking their knees in water. Women, children and elderly passengers face the most difficulties.
There was pent-up anger among the passengers in this regard. In view of this, the Railway-Naval Communication and Environmental Development People's Committee, Rajarhat organized this event after sending letters several times but receiving no response.photo attached.
