A 5-member committee board has been formed at Rangpur Begum Rokeya University (RBRU) to ensure the treatment of students injured in the July-August revolution during the anti-discrimination student movement.

Confirming the matter on Tuesday, the university's Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Shawkat Ali said that a 5-member board of doctors has been formed to review the medical issues of students injured during the anti-discrimination student movement.

The medical board has been formed with Dr. Mokhlesur Rahman of Rangpur Medical College Hospital as the convener and Dr. Mohammad Tofail Hossain, Dr. Ashfaqur Rahman, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Hadi and Dr. Mohammad Atiquzzaman are as members.

Regarding the overall issue, the university's Vice-Chancellor Mohammad Shawkat Ali said that we are determined to ensure the treatment of students injured in the July revolution, where students played the biggest role. Students are the important stakeholders and hence we have formed a committee comprising doctors from Rangpur Medical to ensure the treatment of the injured students. We have received a list of 39 people injured in the July-August protests at our university. This committee will work to provide treatment and all possible counseling to the injured students.
