May Day and National Occupational Health and Safety Day 2025 was observed with due dignity and festive spirit in Kuliarchar, Kishoreganj on Thursday. 

Various rallies and discussion meetings were organized separately by the Upazila administration, political parties, and social and labor organizations to mark the occasion.At 11:00 AM, a colourful rally was brought out from the Upazila Parishad premises under the leadership of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sabiha Fatematuj-Zohra, based on the theme “Workers and owners together, let’s build the country anew.” The rally paraded through the main roads of the town and concluded at the Upazila Parishad auditorium, where a discussion meeting was held.Later, a discussion session highlighting the significance of May Day and National Occupational Health and Safety Day 2025 was held at the Upazila Parishad hall room. The meeting was presided over by UNO Sabiha Fatematuj-Zohra. Among others who spoke at the event were OC of Kuliarchar Police Station Md. Helal Uddin PPM, Upazila  LGED Engineer SRMG Kibria, General Secretary of the Municipal BNP Md. Shahadat Hossain Shah Alam, Joint General Secretary of Upazila BNP Advocate Muhammad Shah Alam APP, Kishoreganj Judge Court, owner of Konok Auto Rice Mill Shahid Uddin Babul, Member Secretary of Upazila Labor Party Md. Touhidul Islam, journalist Md. Naimuzzaman Naim, President of Upazila Labor Welfare Federation Muhammad Nurul Alam, and President of Kuliarchar Mechanics Workers’ Association Md. Alfaz Uddin.The program was moderated by Upazila Academic Supervisor Muhammad Mushfiqur Rahman.
