Maritime Safety Week celebrated by Chittagong BIWTA-

Keeping in mind the theme "Pollution-free rivers and safe boats, the environment will be healthy, lives will be saved", a discussion and awareness-raising seminar was organized by the Maritime Safety and Traffic Management Department, BIWTA Chittagong on the occasion of Maritime Safety Week-2025 on Tuesday.
Chittagong Naval Safety and Traffic Management Department, BIWTA, Deputy Director Md. Kamruzzaman presided over the recitation of the Holy Quran, with Chittagong Engineer and Ship Surveyor Taifur Ahmed Bhuiyan present as the chief guest.
At the end of the program, the chief guest, Mr. Taifur Ahmed Bhuiyan, answered various questions related to boats from boat owners and workers.
Gopal Chandra Majumder, Deputy General Manager, BIWTC, Chittagong, Md. Chabur Khan, Wahidur Rahman, Inspector, Department of Shipping, Chittagong, Md. Amin Uddin, Inspector, Department of Shipping, Chittagong, lessee and vessel owner Nayan, lessee Md. Selim, Abul Kalam Master, and others were present as special guests.
In addition, many others, including boat owners, workers, master drivers, helmsmen and greasers, were present.
