27 BGB Marishya Zone has seized a huge quantity of illegal teak logs in Baghaichhari, Rangamati on Tuesdsy morning.
According to secret information, 27 BGB conducted the operation led by Assistant Director Mohammad Hafizur Rahman, BGBMS under the direction of Marishya Zone Commander.
During the operation, the smugglers realized the presence of the BGB patrol team and fled by dumping the logs at the Marishya wood loading point. Later, the BGB patrol team was able to seize 290 cubic feet of illegal teak logs in an abandoned state. The value of which is Tk 4 lakh 35 thousand.
Lt. Col. Zahidul Islam Zahid, PSC, Zone Commander of Marishya Zone (27 BGB), said, Marishya Zone has been conducting regular anti-smuggling activities in its area of responsibility. The Zone Commander also expressed hope that the trend of operational activities in the area of responsibility of the zone will continue in the future.
