Magura -2 Seat : 3-time former BNP MP Kazi Kamal will contest election without nomination

Despite not receiving the party symbol, former BNP MP Kazi Kamal has announced that he will contest the election from the Magura-2 Constituency, responding to the demands of grassroots BNP leaders and activists.
He made the announcement yesterday afternoon at a mass rally of hundreds of thousands held at the Arpara School grounds, organized to demand the cancellation of Nitai Nitai Roy Chowdhury’s nomination.
Kazi Salimul Haque Kamal, an eminent industrialist, three-time former BNP Member of Parliament from Magura-2, and former President of the Magura District BNP—told the rally that two former upazila chairmen of Shalikha and Mohammadpur, 18 out of 19 former union parishad chairmen, and 501 of the 513 recently elected ward-level BNP presidents, secretaries, and organizational secretaries have submitted written appeals to the central leadership demanding the cancellation of Nitai Roy’s nomination.
The rally, organized by the Shalikha Upazila BNP, was attended by over a hundred thousand BNP leaders and activists.
The meeting was presided over by former convener of Shalikha Upazila BNP, Munshi Anisur Rahman Milton. Speakers included former Shalikha Upazila Chairman Mozafor Hossain Tuku, former Mohammadpur Upazila Chairman Jahangir Alam Khan Bachchu, former BNP President Golam Azam Sobu, General Secretary Akhtar Hossain, and former President of South Magura Unit BNP Md. Sajjad Hossain, among others.
