A week long Bhoomiseva Week 2024 has been inaugurated at Tajumaddin in Bhola keeping in mind the motto 'Smart Bhoomiseba, Smart Citizen'.

On Saturday (June 8) morning, a discussion meeting and opening ceremony was organized on the occasion of land service week at the upazila land office premises. On this occasion, the Upazila Land Office has taken various programs from June 8 to June 14.

Under the chairmanship of Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Abul Hasnat, the program was conducted by Upazila Land Office Nazir Mosharraf Hossain.

Upazila Nirbahi officer (UNO) Shuvo Debnath, Upazila Agriculture Officer Nazmul Huda, Upazila Education Officer Md Enayetur Rahman, Forest Officer Abul Basar, former President of Press Club Md Rafiq Sadi, General Secretary M Nurunnabi, Bangladesh Mofswal Journalist Forum ( BMSF) Tajumuddin Upazila Branch General Secretary Abdul Mannan Tamim and others.

It was informed in the meeting that one of the initiatives of the Land Ministry is the introduction of land service automation system. Increasing mobility and transparency in all land related activities through land management automation software. In this regard, e-mutation, online land development tax collection, digital record room, receipt of certificates and papers by post, digital surveying-mapping, online water lease, online hearing system, mobile-based 16122 hot line service etc. have been launched.

Also, to reduce the suffering of land owners, smart land service center with e-registration and digital land service, smart land design, smart land pedia, smart land record has been created. Currently citizens can apply online for Namjari, Certified Parcha, Mauza Map and pay land rent without visiting land office.

An initiative has been taken to digitize about one lakh 38 thousand Mauza maps of entire Bangladesh with the aim of correcting maps and khatian along with naming.
