Land Minister Narayon Chandra said, let us all develop humanity in society.

He made this call at the inaugural ceremony of the newly constructed temple building of the public Shiva-Parvati Seva Sangha Temple located in Naria Municipality of Shariatpur on Sunday.

Former State Minister for Water Resources and Shariatpur-2 MP AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, Shariatpur Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nizamuddin Ahmed, and Shariatpur District Council Chairman Sabed ur Rahman Khoka Sikdar and former Secretary Shyam Sunder Sikder were present as honoured guests at the event.

The Land Minister further said, let us love people. We come to this world for a brief period. During this time, we live forgetting divisions. Recalling the Father of the Nation, he said, the core philosophy of the Father of the Nation was to love people. He loved the people and nature of the country, added the Minister.

The Minister also said that to become a smart citizen, one must be a progressive, non-communal patriot. Only smart citizens can contribute to building the planned non-communal 'Smart Bangladesh' of the honorable Prime Minister through 'Smart Government', 'Smart Economy' and 'Smart Society'.

Mentioning Shariatpur as the bearer of the tradition of communal harmony, the Land Minister expressed hope that the whole of Bangladesh will uphold this tradition and move forward to build Bangabandhu's dream of Sonar Bangladesh.

Special guests present at the event included Shariatpur Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mahbubul Alam, Shariatpur District Awami League General Secretary Anil Kumar De, Naria Upazila Council Chairman AM Ismail Haque, and Naria Municipality Mayor Advocate Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad.

The ceremony was presided over by Saroj Kumar Bhaumik, President of the Temple Committee.
