Kishoreganj.-3 seat : BNP candidate Dr. M Osman Faruk exchanges views with leaders

BNP Vice-Chairman and former Education Minister Dr. M Osman Faruk met with leaders of BNP, its affiliates and allied organizations from his constituency Kishoreganj-3 (Karimganj-Tarail) in a view-sharing meeting.
The discussion was held at Hotel Shuktara on Indira Road in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking as the chief guest at the meeting held under the chairmanship of Karimganj Upazila BNP President Azizul Islam Dulal, Dr. M Osman Faruk said, 'We will have competition with people from other parties including Awami League, Jatiya Party, Jamaat, but there will be no revenge.
For the welfare of all the people of Karimganj Tarail, I left my job at the World Bank and joined BNP politics. I want to work for the welfare of all for the rest of my life. His wife Rana Faruk, cousin Misbah Uddin Tutul, Karimganj Upazila BNP General Secretary Heroic Freedom Fighter Abdul Mannan Dulal Sikder, District Jubo Dal General Secretary Abdullah Al Masud Sumon and other upazila and union level leaders spoke at the meeting.
He was accused of falsely accusing the Awami League of war crimes and had to live in exile for eight long years due to political anger. He returned to the country in October last year after the August 5 coup.
On November 3, the party selected him for nomination from 164, Kishoreganj-3 (Karimganj-Tarail) in the 13th National Parliament election. He returned to the country on November 5. After returning home, he is currently staying in Dhaka.
On November 15, Karimganj Municipality BNP is scheduled to attend a reception at Karimganj High School ground and on November 17, Tarail Upazila BNP is scheduled to attend a reception at Tarail College ground.
Meanwhile, there has been great enthusiasm among the people of his constituency surrounding the reception. Karimganj Municipal BNP President Haji Ashraf Hossain Pavel said that grand arrangements have been made for the reception. Initiatives have been taken to construct more than fifty gates in the municipal area. This reception will be a memorable gathering of a large number of leaders, activists and the public.
