Killings during student protests to be tried at International Crimes Tribunal: Law adviser

Law Adviser Asif Nazrul said on Wednesday that the interim government has decided to try the killings that occurred during the recent student protests in the International Crimes Tribunal.
Efforts are also underway to investigate these incidents under the supervision of the United Nations (UN), he said while briefing journalists at the Secretariat.
Nazrul said those involved in the killings, including the persons in the highest positions, will face trial.
He also assured that harassment cases filed against protesters in Dhaka between 1 July and 5 August will be withdrawn by Thursday (15 August).
Cases filed across the country against protesters are expected to be withdrawn by 31 August, he added.
