Khulna Divisional Commissioner and Administrator of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Md. Firoz Sarkar has been transferred to the Ministry of Public Administration as an Additional Secretary on Thursday.
The officer of the 17th BCS batch is known as very honest, efficient, and intelligent is going to be posted in such an important position is due to his successful professionalism.
Firoz Sarkar hails from Cumilla district.
The information was announced in a notification signed by Mohammad Rafiqul Haque, Deputy Secretary of the Senior Appointment-1 Section of the Ministry of Public Administration.
According to the notification, Arfanul Haque, Additional Secretary (APD) of the Ministry of Public Administration, has been transferred to the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources. Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md. Firoz Sarkar will replace him this position.
It may be mentioned that on November 26, 2024, Md. Firoz Sarkar was appointed as the Divisional Commissioner of Khulna by the Ministry of Public Administration. At the same time, he had also been serving as the Administrator of Khulna City Corporation.
