Juvenile sentenced to prison for eve teasing in Raipur

A mobile court has sentenced a teenager named Zihad Hossain (18) in Raipur of Lakshmipur to six months imprisonment for eve teasing. He was arrested on Monday (June 10) from the town of Ali in Haidarganj upazila. The boy's father's name is Babul Bepari. They are local residents. A foreign knife was seized from Kishore Zihad during the arrest along with marijuana.
It is learnt that some students named Maria Akhtar, Swapna and Barshti, studying in the ninth grade of Rachim Uddin High School in Haidarganj, were being harassed by the villain Zihad for a long time.
Maria Akhter (14), a ninth grade student, said that Zihad used various indecent language. Indecent gestures were shown. So we complained to Aceland Sir.
Maria's mother Shilpi Begum (40) said, "We filed a complaint for teasing my daughter. Got justice and redress. Thanks to the administration.
After conducting the court, Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Saheed Arman said, in view of the complaint of the student and her family, we have arrested Zihad Hossain from the scene and sentenced him to six months' imprisonment.
