JU VC mourns death over Uttara plane crash; university events suspended

Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan on Monday has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident of the training aircraft crash at Milestone School and College campus in Uttara.
In a condolence message, JU VC said, “ This tragic incident that claimed the lives of the pilot , students , and teacher is heartbreaking.This loss is really irreparable.
He also extended sympathy to the bereaved families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
In observance of the government-declared national mourning day on July 22, JU administration has postponed all institutional activities including the planned unveiling of the “Adamya-24” memorial while pre-scheduled examinations will be held as planned.
Special prayers for the victims will also be held at the university mosque and other religious venues.
