
Joint forces operation in Nakla: 11 cases filed, fines collected

A joint operation was carried out by the Army, police and traffic police department to restore
traffic discipline on the regional highway in Nakla of Sherpur on Wednesday morning.
A total of 11 prosecution cases were filed and the collection of Tk 12,500 was collected in fines.
The drive was conducted in front of the traffic police box at Dakshin Bazar in Nakla municipality.
The operation was led by Warrant Officer Md Masum Miah of the Nakla Army Camp and TSI
Mahfuzur Rahman of the Nakla-Nalitabari Traffic Zone. Members of the army, police and traffic police department, journalist of different media and many others were present during the drive.
TSI Mahfuzur Rahman said that 7 motorcycles and a CNG-run three-wheeler were seized due to lack of valid documents. Under the Road-Transport Act, 11 prosecution cases were filed and Tk 12,500 was collected in fines. Such drives will continue in the interest of public safety, he added.
