Jamaat holds training workshop for polling agents in Sunamganj -3 Seat

Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election 2026, a polling agent training workshop was held in support of the Scales election symbol for Advocate Yasin Khan, the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami–nominated MP candidate for the Sunamganj–3 constituency.
The training workshop was organized by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Shantiganj Upazila unit, at the Suhel Community Center in Shantiganj Upazila at 10:30 am on Saturday.
The workshop was chaired by Shantiganj Upazila Jamaat Ameer Hafez Abu Khaled and conducted by Assistant Secretary Asaduzzaman. The chief guest was Maulana Abdul Kabir, Election Management Director for the Sunamganj–3 constituency.
Advocate Yasin Khan, Jamaat-e-Islami’s nominated MP candidate, spoke as the keynote speaker. He said that the role of polling agents must be aware and responsible to ensure a free, fair, and impartial election. He emphasized the importance of protecting voters’ rights at polling centers and following the Election Commission’s code of conduct.
Others who spoke at the workshop included Shantiganj Upazila Jamaat Secretary Master Dilwar Hossain, Upazila Islami Chhatra Shibir President Afsar Ahmed, District Islami Chhatra Shibir Education Secretary Sumel Ahmed, Upazila Sramik Kalyan Federation Secretary Mamun Ahmed, Dargapasha Union Ward No. 3 Member Ejaz Hossain, East Birgaon Union Jamaat President Masum Ahmed, Jaykals East Jamaat President Tajul Islam, Patharia Union Jamaat President Shamsher Ali, Shimulbak Union’s Ekhlasur Rahman, West Birgaon’s Qari Alfaz Uddin, and East Pagla’s Kabir Hossain.
At the training workshop, detailed guidelines were provided to polling agents on their duties and responsibilities, the voting process, election laws, and the code of conduct.
