Jamaat cadre arrested with 3 foreign sophisticated weapons in Begumganj

Jamaat's top cadre Md. Abdur Rahim (21) has been arrested with 3 sophisticated weapons in Begumganj, Noakhali. He is the son of Jasim Uddin, a resident of Bagh Bhuiyan Bari in Basant. He was arrested on Monday.at 7 pm in the Bangla Bazar-Gopalpur Gami Bridge area.
Eyewitnesses and police said that based on a secret tip-off, Begumganj Model Police Station police set up a check post on the paved road adjacent to the Gopalpur Gami Bridge from Bangla Bazar and were able to arrest local Jamaat's top cadre Md. Abdur Rahim (21) riding a motorcycle with 3 foreign pistols, 2 rounds of bullets and 1 magazine and an unregistered motorcycle. Begumganj Model Police Station OC (Investigation) Md. Habibur Rahman said that weapons, bullets, magazines and a Honda have been seized from the arrested Abdur Rahim. Preparations for a case against him are underway.
