International Anti-Corruption Day celebrated in Boalkhali

A discussion meeting was held on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day 2025, with the theme "Youth Unity Against Corruption: Building the Purity of the Future" at the initiative of the Boalkhali Upazila Administration in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday.
The Day was celebrated by Boalkhali Upazila Administration and the Corruption Prevention Committee.
The meeting was presided over by the President of the Corruption Prevention Committee, A.K.M. Ismail, and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mehedi Hasan Faruk was present as the chief guest.
Special guests were - Assistant Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (SJEC Chattogram-2) Musabbir Ahmed, Upazila Assistant Commissioner Land and Municipal Administrator Kaniz Fatema, Officer-in-Charge of Boalkhali Police Station Mahfuzur Rahman, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Salma Islam, President of Boalkhali Press Club Muhammad Sirajul Islam.
Moderated by General Secretary of the Anti-Corruption Committee SM Afzar Rahman, among others were Vice-President Shaheda Begum, Mohammad Mofizul Alam, members Nasrin Akhter, Fatema Begum, SM Golam Mostafa, Dil Afroza Parveen, Abdur Rahman Khan, etc.
Officials of various government departments, teachers and students, journalists and representatives of social organizations were also present.
The chief guest of the meeting said that sustainable development is not possible without practicing transparency, accountability and ethics. Awareness and active participation of youth is very important to prevent corruption.
